Set in the beautiful national landscape of Vieremä, Rientola is a versatile venue for events and celebrations, hosting corporate events, meetings, family celebrations and a wide variety of occasions throughout the year. Rientola is continuously developing its offering in response to its customers’ needs – and this was also the idea behind investing in a Lucia Glass Pavilion.
“We wanted to create an additional space that would offer our customers new possibilities and complement our existing services. The pavilion allows us to offer smaller groups a peaceful space of their own, while also extending our operating season.”
Rientola’s Lucia Glass Pavilion is located by a pond, surrounded by an open rural landscape. The location was an obvious choice, as the scenery is one of the venue’s greatest assets.
“One of the best things about the Glass Pavilion is the way it makes the surroundings part of the experience. From inside, there are unobstructed views across the pond, fields and church, while from the outside, the pavilion does not block the landscape at all. It highlights the best qualities of the setting without taking attention away from them.”
This is precisely what makes the building such a natural part of Rientola’s surroundings:
“It looks as though it has always belonged here.”
At Rientola, the Lucia Glass Pavilion is much more than an additional building – it is an active part of the venue’s everyday operations.
During the summer, it serves as an inviting café pavilion and terrace, but it is equally well suited to corporate meetings, weddings, memorial gatherings and other private events.
“The pavilion gives smaller groups a peaceful space of their own. We didn’t want it to be just another meeting room, but rather a comfortable lounge where guests can relax, talk and enjoy spending time together.”
With sliding glass walls that can be opened on all sides, the space can easily be adapted to different occasions.
“When needed, the pavilion can be opened up for plenty of fresh air, while still providing shelter from wind and rain. That makes it extremely versatile.”
The Glass Pavilion has given Rientola new opportunities to serve its customers and enhance the overall guest experience.
“Our season has clearly been extended in both spring and autumn. At the same time, the pavilion immediately gives guests the impression that real thought and investment have gone into the surroundings. It invites people to sit down, relax and stay a little longer.”
According to Vidgren, the pavilion also supports Rientola’s brand and identity.
“The large wooden main building and the modern Glass Pavilion complement each other beautifully. Together, they create a high-quality overall impression that fits the surroundings extremely well.”
One of the biggest positive surprises has been how little maintenance the pavilion requires.
“The pavilion has been incredibly easy to maintain. In spring, all it really needs is a quick wash to remove the pollen, and we haven’t had to carry out any repairs. It has been a completely worry-free solution.”
Vidgren is equally pleased with the delivery process.
“Everything went exactly as agreed. What was promised was delivered.”
