Founded in 2008, Savon Lasituote Oy manufactures all Lucia Design buildings in Finland at our family-owned facility in Iisalmi. The first Lucia Glass Pavilions were completed in 2013. From the very beginning, our goal has been to create a robust, maintenance-free and versatile glass pavilion that can be easily adapted and customized for a wide range of applications and individual customer needs.
The steel frames are manufactured, surface-treated and assembled at our own factory. By keeping the entire manufacturing process in-house, we can maintain strict quality control at every stage and deliver a complete, carefully finished solution that is as ready for use as possible.
The Key Flag symbol reflects the fact that our products are manufactured in Finland and that a significant proportion of the work is carried out in Finland.
At the heart of every Lucia building is a heavy-duty steel frame manufactured at our own factory. The frames are made from thick-walled RHS steel profiles, precisely cut using tube laser technology and welded into dimensionally accurate assemblies.
Before assembly, the frames are shot-blasted and treated with a durable powder-baked coating system consisting of a primer and topcoat. This carefully applied surface treatment provides effective protection against corrosion and the changing weather conditions of the Nordic climate.
All necessary cable penetrations for electrical installations are prepared during the manufacturing stage, allowing wiring to be neatly integrated inside the frame. The result is a refined, durable and technically high-quality structure.
Lucia buildings are designed to complement their surroundings, not dominate them. Timeless Nordic architecture, meticulously finished details and expansive glass surfaces create a harmonious whole that feels equally at home in a modern garden or a truly unique landscape.
The buildings can be tailored to their setting with a range of colour, glazing and feature options. The Design from Finland label reflects Finnish design expertise, where aesthetics, usability and functionality come together as a seamless whole.
Glass is the single most important material in Lucia buildings, which is why every glazing solution is designed according to the building’s intended use. All our glass is high-quality tempered safety glass, providing unobstructed views of the surrounding nature without compromising on safety or comfort.
Unlike standard solutions, the glazing of Lucia buildings is always tailored to the specific requirements of each project. Options include, for example, thermally insulating, solar-control, privacy-enhancing and bird-safe glazing, as well as glass elements equipped with integrated comfort heating. Every glazing system is individually designed to meet the specific requirements of the project in terms of energy efficiency, safety and user comfort.
Every Lucia building is designed around the client’s intended use, surroundings and individual preferences. A wide range of colours, glazing solutions, roof designs and features allows each building to be tailored perfectly to its setting.
The refined whole can be complemented with features such as integrated lighting, heating and cooling solutions, screen blinds, insect screens, as well as bespoke interior and furniture solutions. Every detail is designed to enhance comfort, functionality and timeless aesthetics.
Lucia buildings are manufactured as complete as possible at our own factory, making delivery fast, smooth and effortless. The building is transported as a ready-to-use unit and lifted by crane directly onto the prepared foundation.
